Ultrafast broadband (UFB) is being rolled out to Leeston and Southbridge during the next few months and Selwyn MP Amy Adams is welcoming its arrival.
“I understand that under the second phase of UFB, the installation of fibre in Leeston is now underway. Once complete, an estimated 715 households and businesses in the Leeston area will have access to UFB,” Ms Adams said.
“Meanwhile the roll-out of UFB to Southbridge will begin within the next few weeks and will bring fibre to approximately 350 households and businesses in the Southbridge area,” Ms Adams said.
“I am immensely proud of the work of the previous government in planning and funding the roll-out of UFB to our regions and it will be great to see more of our local towns gaining access to this world-class infrastructure in the near future,” Ms Adams said.
